Numa comes from the word "Pneuma“, a Greek word that is often referred to "breath" or "air“ in ancient philosophy. It also carries abstract connotations, representing the vital force or spirit that animates living beings. In spiritual contexts, it can refer to the “soul” or “spirit”.
Drawing inspiration from travel and the diverse crafts around the world, Numa creates garments using rich traditional fabrics and artisanal workmanship while prioritizing ethical sourcing and low-impact production practices. Our aim is to slow down the making of garments by having a sustainable approach and by making conscious decisions in all parts of the process.
